Measure Numbers

I was wondering if its possible to place the measure numbers below the measures. What I mean is in exactly the same position between the measures, but instead of on top of the measure, they be placed below the measures, since the song I am writing out right now (for one instrument) requires many notes above the staff, and sometimes the notes or ornaments can interfere with them , since I want to make them legible and not too small. If this is possible, can you please tell me how to do this? Thanks!
