Crash on selecting Timeline happens frequently but not always

While working on a score, if I select Timeline - either from the drop down menu or using F12, MuseScore will crash. IT never happens if I select it the first thing after reopening following a crash. IT does not occur all the time, but it has occurred several times in the last few hours. I am using version 3.6.2 and MacOS 11.6. And it happens with any score I'm editing. I usually use this feature to turn on or off various instruments as I am working on just one instrument/voice at a time.
