Scores print but unusable

Tried to print a score after recently updated Musescore to most current on school's MacAir. The program printed out staff lines but only thin vertical or horizontal lines for the notes. No lyrics or other text. I think it may be the "newer font" that was offered that has made the difference. If so, how do I get it back to what I was using before?
