Ratings should require comments
Low ratings rarely come with a comment supporting the rating. High ratings seem to come only from friends or those you have rated in the same manner. Requiring comments with each ranking would allow the recipient to understand why his/her composition was rated with a low or high vote. Comments should be required to be at least ten words to clarify the simple "nice" or "good work" comments and offer the composer real feedback.
