Measures per line
I am currently writing some drumline parts, and many lines only have one or two measures. Changing the amount of measures per system breaks does nothing to those specific measures, though it does affect others.

It is just too much for a single system. Decrease stretch or scaling, or page borders, or increase page width.

Also, minimum note distance. The settings involved are in Format / Page Settings, and Format / Style Measure. One way or another, you need to make the space required smaller, because they physically don't fit as is on your currently selected page size and margins. So either smaller staves, or a smaller spacing value (which is the setting "stretch" then overrides measure by measure, not really recommended here), or a smaller minimum note distance, or some combination of these. or larger paper, or smaller margins. One way or another, something's got to give.
