OS: Linux Mint 20.1, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.6.2.548021370, revision: 3224f34

  1. Open Musescore and select from the menu bar, Help > "Revert to Factory Settings". (This is because the issue may be one affecting new installs only)
  2. Load a score which has not had "Save to Score" applied to it from the synthesizer window.
  3. Open the Synthesizer (View > Synthesizer).
  4. Press "Load from Score".

Expected result: Nothing happens.
Actual Result: The default system soundfont is lost from "Fluid". Unless the user has previously applied "Set as Default", or has a score with Synthesizer settings applied, a revert to factory settings may be required to recover the soundfont.

Suggestion: Fix #278178: Synthesizer: "Load Default" does not work "out of the box".
