Playback broken

So I've done genuinely everything I could at this point to try and fix this issue - followed the big master threads on how to solve the problem, uninstalled and reinstalled, checked every menu in the application, restarted a billion times, you name it. But if my headphones are at all connected to my PC (I don't have speakers), the playback button completely greys out and playback no longer works. The I/O menu shorts out as well as does the synthesiser menu. Updates to MuseScore do not solve the problem and Windows updates have no effect on it. It's done this once before but I only managed to fix it because the I/O menu was functional; I no longer have that option. It's been doing this for days and I need this for class.
