how do you add a specific trill?

Comments

It is not clear what you mean by "specifc". But a trill over a single note can be added from the ornaments pallet See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/articulations-and-ornaments

An extended till covering one or more notes can be added from the lines pallet See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/lines

If you want to add a trill with an accidental and have it play back as notated a bit of trickery is needed which is described here https://musescore.org/en/node/277181

No, I still don't understand what you want.

Do you perhaps mean a two note tremolo - a rapid alternation between two notes (for example C to F) rather then trill which if applied to a C could only be between C and D with the D possibly flatted or sharped?

If you want a tremolo see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/tremolo - you need to scroll down a few paragraphs to find two note tremolos.

What would you like different about it? The symbol provided is pretty standard, but you can always try different music fonts in Format / Style / Score. If you mean the playback, there are options in the Inspector. if you mean accidentals, you can add those from the palette. If you mean something else, please explain further.
