Annoying double attack after selecting individual notes
Whenever I select a note in order to edit or control it, Musescore plays that note twice. The first time the note is struck it is very short, staccato like. It happens every time, the time between those two attacks is very short (like a sixteenth note in a fast tempo) but constant. That is for every note in every staff. Any idea what is going on? I am on Mac (Monterey) with I7 Intel processor. Sound goes through my Presonus Quantum 2626 Thunderbolt interface.

Any chance you just hear both whatever external sound device you have on your interface as well as the internal synth?

No, that's not it. Interestingly, I just noticed if I click and hold the note the amount of time between the two attacks increases at least twofold.
