Number of pages in a Score
I am new to Musescore and my first score is more than 2 pages. Why am I not able to add more measures on to a 3rd page?

You are, but you might have to do a slight bit of understanding first.
MuseScore will add pages as required. So all you usually have to do is just append measures (see the Add menu) and enter your music. MuseScore will adjust measure widths as necessary and once your measures will overflow the system, it'll automatically create a system break for you. And once those systems will overflow the page, it'll automatically create a new page for you.
Now if you for some reason need to create a premature page break to force the next measure to a new page; you can add a manual explicit page break as per https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/breaks-and-spacers
