Ignore 8va segment etc.
Is it possible to have a "visual" 8va segment in a score, but without it being "active"/"in effect"?
Or some graphic "tricks" to achieve this?
Regards Erling

Would adding a simple line from the palette do the trick?

Thanks, it most certainly does! I was just looking at the inspector to see, but again.....knowledge beats all! Thanks!
An extra question: As my score has the 8va throughout the whole score with the 8----- symbol on every line.
I cannot copy/paste the line-item it seems. (Se example).
Kind regards Erling

It doesn't seem to me but: Select the measures, apply the line;
From Inspector set initial text and paragraph (maybe you can save it in a custom palette or set it as Style)
Sorry: "Begin Text, Continue Text"

Thanks again. I did it the simple way:
One line for the whole score, end hook and ottava as start text (and not allowing diagonal line). Does not look completely like the original score, but should be good enough! Once more thanks a lot for good and useful feedback!
(This is the score btw. https://musescore.com/user/26911315/scores/7547021 )

A very pleasing score.
Maybe I didn't make myself clear, from Inspector you can enter the number 8 as Continue Text

Your proposal does the trick! Score updated and old Emmanuel Liebich should be pleased!
Once more: Thanks!!
