What do I look for in a mobile device that is compatible with the Musescore app?

I've used MuseScore for years to transcribe music from concert key to the key for my alto sax. I recently got the idea that I could get myself a tablet and download my charts from the My Scores section of the website so that I could transpose them on the fly, similarly to apps that will transpose chord progressions for guitarists and keyboardists. I got a 10" tablet only to discover that the app isn't compatible with it. What do I need to know about the tablet to ensure the app is compatible before I buy it? Thanks for your help.
