Multi-measure rest

I want an instrument to lay out for 76 measures. Rather than highlighting 76 measures, as outlined in the documentation, is there a way to just insert a one-measure rest with "76" over it, and have the next measure number = "77" ?

Insert 76 measures and then enable multimeasure rests (i.e. press M)
Or manually add that 76 as a staff text text (using the F2 palette and the big nimbers from time signaturees) and in the next measure jo to measire peoperties (right click into is) and uns "Add to measure number"

You wrote "highlighting 76 measures, as outlined in the documentation". Where did you see that in the documentation? There is no need to highlight anything to enable multimeasure rests, just press the M on your PC keyboard. If the documentation says that, we need to correct it.
