Staff text moved to margin, cannot highlight it to delete or move
Hi
some staff text that I inserted. has moved into the margin between pages somehow, and I cannot highlight it in order to move it or delete it so I can relocate it.

Put your score in Continuous View:
https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/viewing-and-navigation#viewing-modes
and then locate the text and delete it.

I do not find "continuous view"....only 'stacked' (vertical) or horizontal (under Preferences) scrolling.
When I go to Vertical scrolling, the text disappears.
When I go back to Horizontal scrolling, it reappears.
So it is still there.
It's as if it is on another 'layer.'
Are there other layers??? also: I did not enter this particular text in this score; it's from a PREVIOUS score I was working on. Perhaps I pasted it in by mistake? if so, I can't find it.

so: I exported it to PDF and the offending text has disappeared. Weird!
as long as it does not show up on the PDF I guess I can live with it in MuseScore but hope to figure it out eventually!

You are looking for Continuous View in the wrong place. It is next to the Zoom control on the toolbar. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/viewing-and-navigation#viewing-modes
