First Violins Transposed to Ab Minor on Deactivating Concert Pitch

• Apr 1, 2022 - 08:19

I am running MuseScore 3.6.2 on Gentoo Linux and writing an orchestral score. I have done all of my composing in Concert Pitch. When I clicked the Concert Pitch button to see what the score would look like, I saw seven flats appear on my First Violin staff. When I removed this key signature, nothing sounded right. The Second Violins are not transposed. it is possible that I hit a wrong key somewhere; how do I access Staff Properties in order to attempt to analyze this?

If necessary, I can provide the MSCZ file; however, as my piece is not quite ready and as I want to keep copyright protection on it (for which I have yet to file - because it's not complete), I would rather wait before posting the file.

Is this a bug, or could I have messed-up settings? (I really don't want to have to start from scratch after all the work I've put into this piece...)

Thank you very much in advance!

Without the score hard to say, but probably for some reason that violin is set up to be transposing, check its staff/instruments properties

For future reference, copyright law explicitly protects your work the moment it is written. Filing is an optional formality only. This is true in virtually every country in the word, by international treaty. So never any need to worry about posting scores here when asking for help.
