Errors on MuseScore Website

• Apr 8, 2022 - 20:41

Okay, this isn't quite a feature request, but I'm not sure where else to post it, so here goes: At least two of the endorsements/quotes at the bottom of the MuseScore page have spelling and grammatical errors. For example:

"A trully amazing software, and for free! Thank you very much! I'll became a supporter."

"Trully" should be "truly," and the last sentence should either read "I'll become a supporter" or "I became a supporter." In its current state, it doesn't make sense.

"Great program and given it's FREE it's the best in it's category esp for the new "composer" much more intuitive than other programs so easy to use and figure out."

Beyond the fact that the third "it's" should just be "its," the whole sentence is a jumbled mess.

And these are just the errors that I noticed. There may be more.

I realize that these may be copy-and-paste jobs from websites or people who posted in the forum, but what the errors communicate is that MuseScore is amateurish and less than what it is: professional-quality software. And to be clear, I love MuseScore, and I'm happy to be using it, but I think it's worth either cleaning up the endorsements or finding new ones that don't have as many errors.

Comments

Those are actual user testimonials regarding MuseScore and not something created by the site developers and are not all from people with English as their first language. Cleaning them up could lead to accusations of interfering with user opinion, as could only publishing grammatically perfect quotes.

You do realise, of course, that the chances of the musecore.com website maintainers reading this is rather low.
