Default page size and PDF page size
These are 2 separate issues. In 1.3 I could specify the default page size to Letter in the Preferences, but I don't see a way to do that in 2.0 (default style maybe?)
When I print to PDF the output page size defaults to an enormous 33x46 inches. (Imagine my surprise when I made my first score and it appeared as a tiny stamp in the corner of the pdf!)

The default page size should be set to whatever your default printer is set to use.
How are you printing to PDF? MuseScore doesn't "print" to PDF, but it does "export" (File / Export), and that should work as expected. If not, please list the *exact* steps you are following.

Export works correctly, but Print brings up the option "Print to File (PDF)." This was how I printed scores in 1.3, and it would correctly set the page size. Now it sets it to a very large default page.

I have no idea what that dialog is, but it's not anything from MuseScore that I know of. Maybe you have some sort of special PDF pseudo-printer installed on your system?

I guess it is the system's native print dialog?
