One hairpin
Referring to the attached file, there are 2 hairpins.
I want just the upper one. If I delete one, the other is deleted along with it.
Is it possible to have just the one?

You can't delete just one hairpin because you set this up as a linked staff. What happens in one staff happens also in the other. If you don't want that. Set up the score as Guitar. Then add the Tab staff, but not linked.
Or you can select the hairpin you don't want and hit "V". It won't be visible in the part or a printout. Still grayed out in the score.

Thanks for your reply. You get me halfway there with the V. Then I can uncheck View > Show Invisible and it is gone :)

No need to hide invisible elements in the on-screen display, FWIW - they are greyed out so you can still edit them, but they won't print or export to PDF>
