Inserting fingering tino a score
The drag and drop facility for inserting fingering in Version 3 does not work well. Is there another way to do this?

It still does for sure. But drag and drop was never the best method, selecting the target element and then double clicking the palette item (as of MuseScore 3.4 even just single clicking) always was the better method.

Indeed, while drag & drop works, it's extremely inefficient and fiddly in that you need to be very careful about where you drop. if you're adding just one or two fingerings here and there, selecting the note then clicking the palette item is better. but fi you're adding lots of fingering, much better is to add the first from the palette then double-click it to enter edit mode, then just press Space to move on to the note note, type the desired fingering, Space, type, Space, type, etc. Just like entering lyrics.
