Is inputting notes for tenors overly complicated, or am I just doing something wrong?
I've been trying to transfer some music for my highschool drumline and downloaded musecore to do that. I think very highly of musecore, but have found myself running into the same issue over and over again.
In order to input a note, I have to select the exact note I want to input in the drumset input section, then left-click to place it. Then, if I want to put a higher/lower-pitched note in, I have to again, select that note and put it in the music. This doesn't seem like an issue, but when writing a very lengthy song, the time it takes to select each note can add up over time. I feel like if it was more like writing for piano, I could transfer this whole 300-measure song in no time at all (and it not being a general discomfort).
What's another issue is inserting rimshots... they don't exist.
P.S. I know I can use keybinds, but I'd still rather click to place

If you're concerned with efficiency, why would you choose to click rather than type? That's certainly the most efficient way whether you are writing for piano or for drums.
But for drums, as shown in the handbook, you can also double-click in the palette directly rather than using the two-step process you are describing.
