A Virtual Singer in Musescore?

• Nov 9, 2009 - 13:43

MuseScore I discovered recently and I must say that it is a good music notation software.
Perhaps at this time would be too much, but I was wondering if one day Musescore may be able to reproduce the human voice as with the plugin Virtual Singer of Harmony Assistant (http://www.myriad-online.com/en/products/virtualsinger . htm). It would be great!

Since the MuseScore focus lays more on making beautiful scores for the moment, playback features such as virtual singer are not being discussed. There is however something you can look into and that's Jack. With Jack you can route MuseScore MIDI output to whatever kind of program such as virtual singers. This video demonstrates the concept.

A midi solution is not a real and correct answer to a virtual singer.
A Virtual Singer is a real need.
Do not turn it as if it was just a little fançy.
Most of choir masters would be satisfied with a real virtual singer in MuseScore, simply because it would be simpler to use and a very good entertaining tool for most of choristers or singers, and many students.
Many demands of a Virtual Singer since more than 10 years ago...
