MuseScore stuck to 168 BPM
Suddenly, MuseScore plays all scores at 168 BPM. It happens while I was creating a new score from a previous one. I thought the score was corrupted, so I started a new one from scratch. No way. Any score I create plays at 168 BPM, whatever I select on creation or afterward, adding a tempo indication. Even my old scores that were playing fine nom all play at 168 BPM. Here is what the play panel displays for a score that has a tempo indication of 56 to the dotted quarter:
And here is what I get for a new score with no tempo indication:
In the first, playback is roughly 168 to the dotted quarter. In the second, it is 168 to the quarter.

Any chance you have Jack active and it is the timing master?
In reply to Any chance you have Jack… by jeetee
I have it installed and working. I don't know whether it's the timing master, but it has worked normally until now. I might have hit the "switch master" button accidentally in Console (which I use to start and stop Jack). I don't know what this button does, but I just tried it and it broke everything. I then had to restart jack and then MuseScore to fix the problem.
Thanks!
