dotted half notes - help
Okay, I don't think I have ever seen dotted half notes with bar lines. How do you do this in musescore? Are these some sort of duplet or triplet?

Those are two-note tremolos notated in the old style, where the notes are beamed together. To do this in MuseScore, you put the two parts of the tremolo as dotted quarter notes (half the duration of a dotted half note), then add the proper tremolo from the corresponding palette. Once it's added you can use the inspector to change the tremolo to display in the traditional style. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/tremolo#two_note
