create template 3.6 help

Okay so I create a new solo piano score template. I change the clef sign for the solo voice in the template to a standard treble clef, what you typically find in sheet music, I set all my other parameters. I have my template just the way I want it. I save it as a template file. When I create a new score using my new template the clef sign for the solo voice reverts to the treble clef with the little 8 under it. This means I have to manually change any new score every time.

If the template doesn't have it, why does the new score have it?

Probably becaue the clef change is happening on the first measure, and measures are thrown away when using a score as a template.
