Dynamic markings - changing them.
When I wish to change a dynamic from say, mf to mp, I don't type over the existing dynamic, because the font loses its bold characteristic and so I haven't the confidence to know whether it has retained its dynamic property. Instead, I delete the dynamic and re-insert a new one, which is a faff. Could someone enlighten me?

You can edit the text of the dynamic to read whatever you want which is useful for things like subito p. But the effect of the dynamic (its velocity) is not affected by that. Therefore, while you could say edit mp to read mf, in playback it will still be mp. Delete and re-add is definitely the way to go. However, it would be nice if you could select a dynamic and then replace it by clicking on a different one in the pallet.

Exactly. A request? Happens all the time.

Yes, please add a request (aka suggestion) to the issue tracker. There may even be one there already if you can find it.

Here is another idea that would help with changing dynamics #305995: Cycle through dynamics using up/down arrow when selected
[Edit] But I can't find a suggestion to allow replacement by clicking on the pallet.
