Arpeggiator Plugin

Hello everybody!

After carefully reading the information and guidelines regarding this plugin (link above), I became very interested mainly for educational purposes. However, I made several attempts to see the result. However, when I select the note(s) in a score and activate the plugin nothing happens.
Could someone guide me step by step what I could be doing wrong and missing?
If possible attach a small score with some notes as a sample using this plugin?
