Possible issue with Hide Empty Staves on 2-staff instruments (piano, harp); also Copyright text issue

• Sep 16, 2014 - 22:59

MuseScore 2.0 Beta 1; Windows 7
I wanted to bring this up for discussion before formally creating Issue entry(s)-
#1: If Hide Empty Staves is active and a two-staff instrument like piano or harp happens to only have the upper or lower staff with notes in it, the "empty" staff completely disappears for the affected page.
#1a Also the instrument name misaligns up or down until there is a page with notes on both staves.
MS 1.3 does not do that, the "empty" staff is still present as long as the other staff has notes on that page.
I've experienced this on several other scores besides the attached.

The attached was created in MS 1.3, opened and edited to re-position the lyrics in 2.0. In the attached, the instrument in question is the piano, but I have seen the same issue with harp parts. You should be able to easily recreate the issue by enabling & disabling Hide Empty Staves.

#2: I can't find an option in the Text windows for Copyright text.
#2a Clicking on the Copyright text (if created in 1.3) doesn't enable edit mode; you can't change the text.
#2b Longer copyright texts in 1.3 have some of the text removed when opening in 2.0. (Not an issue with the attached, but I've experienced it on several other scores.)

Please indulge me for one more question: Does 2.0 B1 have an option for setting ontime & offtime offsets similar to 1.3; if not will this feature eventually be added?

Thanks in advance,

1 is deliberate and a change from what 1.x did, 'hide empty staves' does just that in 2.0, in 1.x it rather was a 'hide in see instruments'.
2 is also a delibarete change (I think), you can edit it in score/info/copyright
