how to notate the mute (x) in bass/guitar notation and Tabs
The attached image shows the "X" i am trying to add into my musescore notation for bass/guitar. Is this possible in musescore?

See the above comment on how to do that in the normal staff. For the tab staff, select the note(s) and press Shift+X.

oh wow! so simple! thank you. you've saved me so much time. I thought i would have to print the sheets to change them.
