Grouping multiple measures rest

• Oct 13, 2022 - 13:37

I play trumpet in a symphony orchestra and many times there are multiple measures of rests "grouped" together.
I have included a file so you can see what I mean.
How can I replicate this in Musescore?

This example is written for Trumpet in Bb, however, my ultimate goal is to enter (or satisfactorily scan) an orchestral part that is written for Trumpet in E, or Trumpet in F, etc. then transpose it to Trumpet in Bb and print it out.
Thank you.

Create a score with the instrument e.g. Trumpet in E and copy the notes. Note: choose the correct key signature. If e.g. your E Trumpet is written in C-major your need to choose E major.
If done, go to Staff/Part properties and with 'Change Instrument' select a Bb Trumpet. Alternatively you can add a Bb Trumpet staff (by pressing I). Then copy the E Trumpet notes and paste them in the Bb trumpet staff.
