Slur edit behind notes
I think this is a bug. A quick search didn't find anything along these lines in the forum. See the attached picture. When editing a slur, the control points are not visible and the slur is behind the notes. The latter does not matter when not editing a slur. As for the control points, if drawn, they are black on black, so are invisible.

Wit the control points off ( before you do anything to it), you can drag that slur to the left. Then turn them back on to edit it.
You can move the entire slur as one unit by dragging the appropriate 'handle':
