How to Create a 5:6 Tuplet for Marching snare
Hello, I am trying to make a 5:6 tuplet for a Marching snare Piece i'm writing but it's not quite working. If I go to add < tuplets < other, and I try to enter the numbers 5:6 it comes up with an error saying "Cannot create tuplet with ratio 5/6 for duration 1/4." The the signature is 3/4.

You want to create a tuplet that looks like this?
To do that, make sure the measure only has one full-measure rest in it (or alternatively a dotted half note/rest), select that rest, then use the tuplet tool you tried before.
If you also want the text in the bracket to display as a ratio instead of a number, you can select the bracket and change the number type in the inspector.

I'm not sure I understand the difference, besides that your score has notes entered into it and my example uses rests. That looks, to me, like a 3/4 measure with five eighth notes in it, which is the same as the tuplet example I gave, just with notes entered in afterwards. Here, I've tweaked my example to look closer to your screenshot. All I did was follow the steps I wrote above, then enter the notes, articulations, etc. Does that help?

Ciao, innanzitutto scusami se scrivo in italiano ma non conosco la lingua inglese.
Ecco il modo corretto di procedere:
1) Seleziona la Pausa (allegato 1)
2) Aggiungi ➛ Gruppi irregolari ➛ Altri... (allegato 2)
3) Scrivi il rapporto 5 / 6 poi Ok (allegato 3)
...ed ecco il risultato da te voluto: allegato 4.
Buona Musica.
What I would suggest is creating a note that is the duration of the phrase you want, selecting the rest, and then hitting ctrl + (number) of the amount of notes you want, in your case five. For example, if I were trying to create a 5:3 rhythm, I would create a dotted quarter note, and then I would select the note and hit ctrl 5.
This method will create the rhythm you want, however it will only notate the number of notes (5). You'll need to find a way to notate it the way you'd like.

This creates a 5:3 tuplet but he likes to have a 5:6 tuplet. So Claudio Riffero's proposal fits the notation better but both versions sound the same.
