MuseSounds not working
Hi! I just downloaded MS4 and after that the Strings from the Hub. I'm impressed! But: When opening MS4 from within the hub the sounds don't show, there is only the Basic Sounds. When looking at the hub I found the instrument location shown there to be different than where the sounds have been downloaded to. I changed it but it still doesn't work.
Any help appreciated. This is gonna be a milestone in the notation world.

I don't know about opening from with in the hub. I downloaded MU4. You don't need to change the location of anything. Open the mixer. Hover the mouse over the a string channel Sound bar at the top of the channel. click on the down arrow. Select Sound Fonts/ Muse Sounds. If it isn't there, you might need to move Strings back to the original location.

Thanks bobjp, I already changed everything back to how I found it after download, doesn't work. There was a confusion on my side, bc. the location that shows up in the hub says "com.muse.hub", but the folder in my Mac Finder carries the name "Muse Hub". In MuseScores mixer there is only >SoundFonts >MS Basics. The sounds have been downloaded (5.9 Gig), so maybe MS doesn't see them.
Any help appreciated, and thank you very much!
Same with Percussion, downloaded it, HUB shows check mark, but I can't choose it in the mixer. Started MS4 from the Hub and from the Program Folder.
I assume it's me, but I can't figure out why it's not working.
I have the same problem (Windows 10, MuseScore 4 beta downloaded from Muse Hub)

Have you activated MuseSounds under View -> Play back settings?

It was grayed out (I couldn't select it).
This solution worked for me.
Basically, uninstall MuseScore 4, delete the
C:\ProgramData\MuseHub
folder, then reinstall both MuseScore and MuseSounds. In reply to It was grayed out (I couldn… by ThePython10110
Yes, worked for me as well! No need to delete and reinstall MuseSounds though, after reinstall of MuseScore and the Hub the program found the sounds itself and everything was fine. I guess this is just Beta-problems, nothing serious.
Have fun.

I can't seem to activate muse sounds but I have downloaded the files from muse hub. But I did add my custom soundfonts too to the sound folder I don't know if the files got mixed up.
