MuseScore4 Playback Delays and Overlaps
On my PC, this score starts out fine then at rehearsal D, everything sort of falls apart. The notes hold for too long more and more, until the end is a muddy mess. This is not exclusive to the MuseSounds soundfont, it still happens when the voices are switched back to MS Basic. If anyone can give advice or even replicate the issue I'd be very grateful!

In my laptop, I have to use my Focusrite audio interface and set View/Preferences/(I/O) Buffer to 4096, to get better sound. But not perfect yet.
If you mean the triplets, that's a known issue, see https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/14220. If you mean the extra notes on repeat, that's also a known issue, see https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/13811

Thank you for sharing those threads! That explains a lot and I no longer feel like I'm going crazy. Additionally, while the trumpet melody plays in my score, it seems to anticipate some notes - it is not played with rhythmic accuracy. Is this some kind of 'human playback' feature, or an extension of the overlapping problem?

It's not clear if this is the same as what you are hearing, but some rhythmic inaccuracy in Muse Sounds trumpet is also reported already on GitHub - https://github.com/musescore/MuseScore/issues/14136. As mentioned in the beta announcement, that's where issues with the beta are to be reported, so that's where you can be searching for existing reports.
