Elision on iPad showing as a question mark

Hi.
I created a score in MuseScore 3.6.2 on a Mac, and I added some lyrics which include some elision characters. They show just fine in my Mac, both in the MuseScore app and website, but on my iPad (Air 2) they show up as question marks (see images attached). How can I fix this?
