Sound in 2.0

I downloaded the beta version, and overall I'm very pleased with it.
The FluidR3 soundfont was a good choice, but it's very quiet. Even with the mixer settings turned all the way up, it doesn't have the same force as the TimGm--which I haven't tried in the beta, so i don't know whether it's the soundfont or the player.
Also, I would like to fool around with the synthesizer on some of my songs, but I can't find it. It seems there is no synthesizer in the new version. Is this a permanent decision? I find it quite handy sometimes.

As shown above, the Synthesizer window has simply moved to the View menu instead of Display.

I suspect you had previously used this window in 1.3 to turn up the default volume. You will simply need to do the same in 2.0 Beta 1.

Yes, you can have multiple soundfonts *loaded* at once. Any given staff will still play only sound at a time. But while in 1.3, you could choose any sound from within the one soundfont you had loaded, in 2.0 Beta, you can select any sound from *any* soundfont you have loaded. So if you like the strings in one soundfont, the woodwinds in another, and the brass in another, you can load all three, and use the Mixer to select which sound from which soundfont gets used for each staff.
