Can not print on 11" x 17" size paper
In MuseScore 3.6.2 I can not print on 11" x 17" size paper. When I select that paper size in the print window and send the print job I get an 'waiting for print data' message on the printer, a few seconds pass, nothing prints and the printer goes back to sleep as if the job was complete. Same happens when I export it to a PDF of the same size and print that. I CAN print the same document if I select 8.5" x 11" paper on the same printer.
Also, I CAN print to this size paper in MuseScore 2.3.2 on the same printer.
Any help would be much appreciated.

If you can't print from the PDF, then this would seem to be a problem with the printer or the driver or its settings, not with MuseScore itself. Although it seems strange 2.3.2 would still print - you've tried that recently? If you attach a score and PDF here, someone might have some ideas.

The fact that I can print a score from 2.3.2 and not from 3.6.2 tells me that it has something to do with the way MuseScore is sending data to the printer. The printer behaves as if the job is complete however nothing was produced. I can print a PDF of any document, either 11" x 17" or 8.5" x 11" from any other app except ones created on MuseScore 3.6.2.

"Also, I CAN print to this size paper in MuseScore 2.3.2 on the same printer".
Do you mean you are running 2.3.2 and 3.6.2 on the same machine, same operating system? As requested, if you attach the MSCZ and the PDF files someone can have a look at them.

Also, please say how the PDF files were created - using [File]>[Export]>[pdf] in musescore or by printing using a third party pdf printer.

I've tried both of those methods of creating a PDF.

I am running 2.3.2 and 3.6.2 on the same machine, same operating system. They seem to run just fine independently with the exception of this one bug.
I'll upload files later today.

Agreed, it does seem odd. That's why it would be important to attach an MSCZ and a MuseScore-generated PDF file you are having trouble with. And actually, for comparison purposes, a 2.3.2 MSCZ and corresponding MuseScore-generated PDF that isn't working. Then we can understand and assist better.
The PDF's and .mscz files labeled '(v.3.6.2)' will not print. The files labeled '(2.3.2)' will.

The PDF files that don't print were apparently generated by something called "Mac OS X 10.10.5 Quartz PDFContext". Third party PDF programs are not really supported here. But elsewhere I thought you said it also fails with export directly from MuseScore? The one labeled "export" here was created by the same program as the other.

The file labeled '(from export)' was created the way Steve Blower indicated [File]>[Export]>[pdf] as shown in the attached screen shot. If there is another way to export it to a PDF that you think I should try please instruct me how.
I'm not concerned with getting the PDF files to print. I would like to print the .mscz files. The PDF's were included to indicate that the issue lies somewhere in the data that is being sent to the printer no matter what format they are in or how they were generated.

That's not what the document properties on the PDF say - they still say it's from another program. So, part of the problem may be something about how your computer is configured, where this rogue program is somehow intercepting export and perhaps print operations.

So how do I get this rogue interceptor to cease hijacking my print operations?! This is starting to sound like a script for latest Star Wars series streaming on Disney+ this April. ;-)
My focus is NOT on the PDF files. My objective is to get native MuseScore .mscz files to print on 11" x 17" paper. This issue is exclusive to MuseScore and files created in MuseScore. If anyone that may have solved a similar issue has some specific troubleshooting protocols, well then... Red 5, I'm going in.

I get that PDF is not your focus. However, they are an important clue as to the cause of your problem here. It’s not clear what has gone wrong, but it certainly appears from the evidence provided by the PDF that this program is somehow interfering with the normal operation of MuseScore. So it may well be causing both problems. I do t know this, but right there is a mystery, and this program is a suspect.

Is there a way one can manipulate how MuseScore interacts with the printer driver and PDF creator? A window or preferences that I have not been able to find?
