(All?) Bar of Death

I am trying to write in a 4 beat (whole note) E in the French horn 1 & 2 part on beat 1 of the 4th bar of this piece.

1. I click on the rest occupying the bar, and MuseScore 4 crashes.
2. I click on the rest of the 5th bar and use my arrow keys to move onto that bar, and MuseScore 4 crashes.
3. I enable the handwrite feature (previously note input mode in MuseScore 3) and attempt to use my cursor to enter in notes manually, and MuseScore 4 crashes.

I haven't been able to find a way to input any notes into that part without MuseScore 4 crashing, nor have I observed this happening anywhere else, save for spontaneous crashes that occur. It's done this several times now, so I wrote everything up to that part and then saved before testing a couple more times, but the first time I hadn't saved, so I lost progress.
