Problems with musescore 4

• Dec 19, 2022 - 17:38

Over several years, and many hours of work, I have completed all the scores in my male voice choir's current repertoire. This was done on musescore 3.6. I used a woodwind ensemble to produce the voices of individual voice parts (1st tenor - flute; 2nd tenor - oboe; baritone - clarinet ; bass - bassoon). I, and the members of the choir that use it, think this is excellent.

Unfortunately in musescore 4 I can't do this. The flute replicating 1st tenor will only play the higher range of the voice part. Is there any way round this without having to resort to choir "ahs". Although these are better than in musescore 3.6, I'm still not a big fan.

You could use the free Sforzando or Sfizz VSTs to in turn use them to load a certain sound patch from the soundfont. At least until MuseScore restores the option of selecting a sound from a soundfont directly from the Mixer in a future update.
