Muse Hub issues on Mac

• Dec 20, 2022 - 16:57

Muse Hub is supposed to work on Mac OS from 10.11 onwards but won't install on Catalina (10.15) on a Mac Pro. The app has the grey 'No Entry' icon superimposed (circle with a diagonal line).
Installed it on a Macbook Air running Monterey (OS 12) and started downloading the new sound samples but it all stopped when the screen saver came on. Muse Hub had shut down (crashed?). When I stopped the screen saver none of the sound samples had downloaded. Muse Hub will not open again until I completely shut down the computer and restart.
Has anyone else had these problems?
Much as I appreciate the software, I'll probably be sticking with version 3 for the time being.

What a great error¡¡
I have Mohave osx 10.14 and I've been able to install the Musescore 4.
But not Muse Hub, why you did that¡¡¡ So the features that exclusively requires Mac OSx 11 ( to me the message required 10.5 or higher)
There is a vast quantity of people that will not be able to use Musescore4, cause it supposes to buy a new computer. There is still lot of people that uses 32bits environment, and to make huge investment on a new Mac, the times are not for these investments...

Also note that Muse Hub is only a requirement for the totally optional Muse Sounds library (and indeed requires 11.5+)

MuseScore 4 itself works on 10.14+

Can confirm troubles with Muse Hub. It wont launch (except initially). Restart does not help. I removed and re-installed. Same result. I have Monterey 12.6 on an iMac (2019).

I finally got Muse Hub installed on a Mac laptop running Ventura Mac OS 13.1 but it wasn't easy. The downloading of the sound samples stopped if I did anything else on the Mac, and Muse Hub disappeared and wouldn't open again. Rebooting the laptop worked temporarily on a couple of occasions, but the crashes happened again. Then Muse Hub wouldn't open after a restart. I finally switched the Mac off completely, waited a minute, booted it up again, opened Muse Hub and continued the downloads without doing anything else on the computer. It's worked now.

MUSE Hub opened once for me. Then never again. And I cant reinstall because it always says the app is in use. After a restart. Mac OS 13.4. Any ideas?
