Muse Sounds Saxophones staccato playback issues
At piano, the only saxophone that has staccato notes that can be heard is the soprano saxophone.
At mezzo forte and above, the staccato is noticeably louder than normal notes, sounding almost like an accented staccato. Additionally, the saxophone staccatos are much shorter than any of the brass staccato sounds, like the note is being harshly cut off with the tongue instead of gently released through the cessation of air.
Attached are two scores:
* Sax Staccato goes through unaccented and staccato notes for all pitches that have playback, at all dynamics, for all four saxes.
* To Be Early is a piece written in Musescore 3 that shows some of the issues in context. The section at 75 and the bass line in the section at 83 are particularly noticeable examples where the staccatos are either unheard or stick out too much.
