The program will not run after downloading 'MuseScore4'.

• Dec 22, 2022 - 17:23

When I heard that MuseScore was released as a new version, I ran an upgrade on 'MuseScore4.'

I tried running 'MuseScore4' after the update, but the file did not open.

So I removed 'MuseHub' and 'MuseScore4' from my computer and reinstalled it, but it still doesn't work.

My computer is using 'Window10', and the computer operating system is based on 'x64'.
And the audio interface is using 'U-PHORIA UMC204HD', a product of 'Behringer', and 'Current Sample Rate' is '48000Hz'.

I'd like to know why this problem occurred and how to solve it.

Two things to try.
1. My computer/ C: drive/Program Files/MuseScore4/bin/MuseScore4 exe.
2. Right click on an MS3 file/Open with other software/MuseScore4

Don't see...
MuseScore icon on the desktop or Start Menu ( Windows icon in lower left taskbar)?

MuseScore4 folder in My Douments or Program Files?

If you have an icon, right click on it and select Properties. You should see the bin file listed in starting location. If not you will need to go to the bin file to start MuseScore.
That is if the program installed completely.

Tested on my Dell T1650 running Win-10 Pro 64-bit v22H2 32GB RAM with Behringer U-PHORIA UMC204HD (Sample Rate = 48000Hz). Did a fresh download from musescore.org/en/download. MuseHub and MuseScore v4 installed and ran fine, except playback was glitchy*. Then closed, installed latest Behringer update, now MuseHub just hangs with the screen greyed out. Same after reboot. Clearly I will need to do more testing when I have time.

*Playback is also glitchy in v3.6.2 on Win-10. So I usually boot this (10 year old) PC into Win-7 where the audio is fine. So I'm stuck with v3.6.2 for the foreseeable future, and testing v4 is not a high priority.
