Attached is a score I wrote that has slurs. On my end, they playback as slurs. Do they playback as slurs for you? If so, then it may be that the issue only occurs on certain instruments or in certain contexts, so a score that demonstrates the issue would be helpful. Otherwise, the issue may have something to do with your environment.
Listen carefully to the D and the Bb in the 3rd measure. That is not a legato. But it is possible a real flute player can't play a legato at that spot.
I can confirm a very slight break across the octave (which I assume is meant to be realistic) but certainly nothing "staccato". So I suspect the OP was experiencing something else, and we'd still need a sample score in order to understand that.
Meanwhile, it wouldn't hurt to open an issue on GitHub for the slight break across the octave so that the Muse Sounds developers can investigate that.
