1.) Enter chord for selected note.
2.) Press TAB to go the next bar --> TAB has no effect.
There is no workaround to jump to the next bar which makes writing chord text tedious.

Use Ctrl+right instead
Thx, CTRL+Right works (also CTRL+Left to step back one bar).
Yes, the latter replaces Shift+Tab
