Project
- Create new project with piano solo
- Create a note with articulations, such as:
- Select the just the note and copy it to the clipboard
- Paste it anywhere. The pasted note is missing the articulation:
I originally noticed this when the note was only marked staccato. However, it looks like it applies to all articulations.
NOTE: If you copy more than just the one note to the clipboard (for example, the note + the rest or the whole measure), the articulations are preserved. This only occurs when just the note is copied. It looks like this is not a regression since I can reproduce it in MuseScore 3.6.
This issue can be worked around by manually adding the articulations.
Comments
If you select the note as a range by holding shift while clicking on it the articulation is copied. Selecting without holding shift only copies the note's pitch. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/selection-modes#select-note
[Edit] Or rather for V4 see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/selecting-elements#Notes (which I think doesn't explain the difference as well as in the V3 handbook).
