Complete Incompatibility with USB Audio Interfaces
When Musescore 4.0 is started with a USB audio interface plugged in, or when the audio output is changed to the USB audio interface, the program immediately crashes.

With your interface connected, (and before you start MuseScore) try these tweaks: https://musescore.org/en/node/339915
Especially the part about taking your bitrate down a notch and un-checking Exclusive Mode. Then start MuseScore.
