change default style

In Musescore 3 loading a saved style would change all the elements including lyric and title and chord symbol fonts. In MuseScore 4 none of the text styles are changed when I load my saved style onto a new score.
Also the 'reset font' and 'set as default font' options under the three dots Properties / Text are greyed out.
Any ideas how to get the saved style to update a score please?
