Musescore 4 - loop Playback

• Jan 9, 2023 - 13:54

In Musescore 4 can set loop markers left and right on the first part of a two part tune and it works fine.
Then set reset loop markers left and right on the second part of the tune. its starts playing and randomly jumps back to a random position in the first part. This is not consistent and does it in all the tunes I have tried. It seams to relate this action consistently in each tune. for example in one tune it plays the first 4 bars of the second and returns to beginning of the first part. In another tune it plays first 9 bard of second part and returns to 3 bar of the first part.

yet another bug to look at I suppose

I'm seeing that also. I thought at first it was a misalignment of the measures, but then I tried to loop just one random measure deep into the score, which seemed to work initially, but on the third iteration, it jumped back to Bar #2 of the entire score, and all other attempts from any location always jump back to beginning at Bar #2 no matter where I set the Loop Markers. I think there is an invisible embedded loop marker that it can't ignore. I think it also has an embedded default for the number of measures it will loop, because that seems to exit any loop at about 8 bars in no matter how many you set to be repeated. If no one else has entered a bug report for this I will attempt to enter one.
