Saving a Score and Opening a New Score

• Jan 15, 2023 - 12:31

In the previous version on Musescore, I could save a score and then reopen and continue working on that same score. In the new version I save a score, reopen and work on the same score, but it saves all versions. Since I sometimes work over multiple days and saves I now have several versions of the same tune in my New & Recent window. And no way to delete previous unfinished versions.

When I finish one score and click on the New Score tab, a whole new version of Musescore opens instead of using the current one I've already opened in my browser.

I don't save to the cloud, but it does look like that can cause what I see in your screen shot. Two copies of All My Loving. But I'm trying to understand your process. I just opened a score and made an edit. Then saved and closed it. Reopened, edit, save, close. Three or four times. There is only one copy of the score in Recent Scores.
In the locations you save scores, is there more than one copy? There is only one copy in my Scores folder.
As for clearing the list in MuseScore: File/ Open Recent/scroll to the bottom of the list/select Clear Recent.
