Note stems connecting to invisible notes.
I'm using tied, invisible notes to create better sound and finger pedaling in my scores, but the stems of the notes will automatically connect to them anyways. This creates a random stem just sticking out of a visible note. I've managed to ignore this problem in previous scores by writing around the problem but the piece I'm arranging right now requires finger pedal.
Another problem with this is that invisible notes appear over visible stems in the editor, so you can't notice/fix the problem until you upload the score to the website.

IIRC in MU3 you had to make every single element of a note invisible, MU4 allows to make the whole note (consisting of head, stem and beam) invisible with a single click

Only that it doesn't work for stems...

Sure? Just tried it with the nightly (OS: Windows 10 Version 2009, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 4.1.0-230160304, revision: 7a0bfc4) and was able to make the whole note invisible on the printout (seems to work at least for single notes)
Edit: This apparently only works for complete notes/chords in MU4, i.e. if you have more than 1 head on a stem you can only hide stem + all heads. Trying to hide individual noteheads from a chord indeed results in a remaining empty stem - and hiding the stem hides it again completely, resulting in "floating" noteheads.
Would using voice 2 be a possible workaround?
Here's 2 examples of what I'm talking about
You can specifically click on the stems and turn them invisible by pressing v, but by default, it only hides the note bodies. But it doesn't look like that solves your issue, since you still need the note stems for the other notes.
