id say i have a pretty decent computer that can run DAWS and games just fine, but coming to musescore 4 the app is near unusable.
i cant listen through the playback without clicks and lags and added stuttered notes
it really makes the composing process demotivating when you have an app with an audience that i would say doesnt have the high end of computers
if there was more options to allocate more ram or a performance mode option for users whos computers cannot run the app
my only thought now is to compose in musescore 3, which ive never had an issue with, and run it through musescore 4 playback

Take a look at the minimum specs for MS4. My desktop just meets these specs, and can run MS4.
OTOH, my Surface Go is below specs. With the help the settings here https://musescore.org/en/node/339915
This computer also runs MS4 very well.
It's just a case of matching the hardware to the software.
